Massage therapy offers a wide range of benefits for both adults and children, supporting physical health, emotional well-being, and overall quality of life when provided by a trained, professional Registered Massage therapist.

For adults, massage therapy helps reduce muscle tension, relieve stress, and ease chronic pain caused by work, sports, or daily activities. It can improve circulation, flexibility, and posture while promoting faster recovery from injuries. Many adults also find massage helpful for managing anxiety, improving sleep quality, and supporting overall relaxation and mental clarity.

For children, massage therapy can be gentle, age-appropriate, and highly beneficial. It may help reduce stress, support healthy development, and improve body awareness. Massage can be especially helpful for children who experience growing pains, muscle tightness from sports, or difficulty relaxing. It may also promote better sleep, focus, and emotional regulation, helping children feel calmer and more balanced.

Overall, massage therapy is a safe and effective way for people of all ages to relax, restore, and support both physical and emotional health when tailored to individual needs.

I graduated in 2006 from the International Academy of Massage Therapy here in Ottawa. Once I received my provincial registration to practice, I started at Kanata North Family Chiropractic Centre, where I had been providing exceptional massage therapy to my clients for almost two decades.

Outside the clinic, I enjoy spending time with my spouse and our daughter. Along with family time, I enjoy spending time with our dog, Bentley, and three cats and a rabbit. I also love playing hockey, downhill skiing and gardening.

I am excited to share that, after almost 20 years of practicing massage therapy, I am taking the next step in my career and opening my own home practice in Carp. This new chapter allows me to continue doing the work I love in a space I have created and to spend more time with my family.

My goal is to create a safe and supportive space for every person who comes through my door. I will also be a positive influence in your health journey, whether it is reducing chronic pain, assisting recovery from injury, or simply encouraging relaxation and stress relief.
